Architecture

FACT has a client server architecture with data access, logical and presentation layers. The FACT software relies on Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and utilises web services and remote technologies for data integration.

FACT has an open framework capable of exchanging information between a number of internal and external systems and has been designed to work in sync with your risk management processes.

The FACT framework is made up of layers each with their own modular components:

  • User interface layers present information to the end-user via Internet Explorer ensuring that privileged content and functionality is only available to authenticated users who are authorised to access it.

  • Framework modules support the business processes, application administration and system information.

  • Data structures enclose the business objects used to pass information between modules.

  • Storage layers contain sets of media, applications, back-end systems or databases in which data is written, read or sent.
